The iconic Bürgenstock Resort above Lake Lucerne in the Swiss Alps is one of the first Swiss resorts to introduce pickleball . In partnership with LUX Tennis, it is bringing this fast-growing sport to its world-renowned Diamond Domes facility.
Pickleball, a mix of tennis, table tennis and badminton, is enjoying unprecedented popularity around the world. At Bürgenstock, guests can now enjoy a variety of pickleball options: courts for up to four players are available for CHF 80 per hour, and private lessons with LUX tennis professionals are offered for CHF 160 per hour on weekdays and CHF 180 on weekends.
The resort also hosts weekly “Pickleball Discovery Sessions” every Friday, welcoming guests and locals alike. Future plans include tournaments featuring celebrity pickleball players, continuing the resort’s tradition of hosting tennis stars such as David Ferrer and Belinda Bencic.
After the game, players can relax in the 10,000 square meter Alpine Spa or explore the resort's seasonal highlights such as the Hammetschwand lift and outdoor activities such as hiking and golf, cementing Bürgenstock's status as a top destination for sport and recreation.
