In Switzerland, more precisely in Winterthur, pickleball has found its way into the vacation sports courses of the organization Winterthurer Sport (DWS).
Under the guidance of experienced coaches from the Pickleball Club Switzerland in Hettlingen, the kids were able to get to know the sport at the tennis, squash and badminton center in Grüze and had great fun. The head of the DWS vacation sports courses, Regula Kuhn, was also enthusiastic about the pickleball premiere: "The feedback on the pickleball premiere was excellent".
Pickleball is a sport that is characterized by its simplicity yet versatility. It can be played by people of all ages and fitness levels and promotes coordination, endurance and reaction. In the USA, pickleball has now become a popular sport and is promoted in numerous schools and universities.
In Switzerland, too, the popularity of pickleball is steadily increasing. In the near future, several pickleball playing facilities are to be built in Winterthur and the surrounding area. For all those who would like to get to know this sport, there will certainly be more pickleball vacation sports courses in the DWS program in the future.
