What a weekend! Pickleball Corner and Pickleball Hub were part of this year's Pop Con Zurich and it was an overwhelming success! The event, which attracted thousands of fans from the gaming, sports, cosplay and pop culture worlds over the weekend, provided us with the perfect platform to present the fast-growing trend sport of pickleball to a wide audience.
Thanks to the great organization of Pop Con, we had a central place at the trade fair where pickleball was played around the clock. Whether beginners or experienced athletes - the enthusiasm for the sport was palpable. Shortly after the opening, visitors were already queuing up to pick up the paddles themselves and play their first rallies. The variety of players, from young to old, showed that pickleball really is suitable for everyone.
Our team from Pickleball Corner and Pickleball Hub was on hand to explain the rules, give tips and, of course, convey the fun factor of the game. We were thrilled with the response! Many of the participants had never heard of pickleball before, but were immediately fascinated by the game principle. Numerous exciting matches and a great atmosphere made the pickleball arena one of the absolute highlights of Pop Con.
A big thank you goes to the organizers of Pop Con Zurich , who made it possible for us to present pickleball in such a cool setting. Without their professional planning and support, this success would not have been possible. The combination of sport and pop culture, as experienced at Pop Con, was a perfect fit with our goal of further establishing pickleball in Switzerland.
