The VANGUARD Power Air Epic, promoted by Selkirk as "The Ultimate Power & Spin Paddle," adds new technology to one of their most popular traditionally shaped paddles (it's really "EPIC"). The Power Air series introduces a number of innovative features from the Selkirk Labs program that pickleball players have been anticipating in the market for some time. An aerodynamic opening in the throat aids maneuverability and swing speed, while an edgeless design provides a maximum hitting surface. The throat flexes, resulting in longer ball dwell time on the clubface and more power. The ProSpin+ NextGen texture applied to the surface grips pickle balls and gives them maximum spin. The face features two layers of Fiberflex fiberglass (carried over from the AMPED series) and two layers of Quantum+ carbon fiber, offering the best in power and control materials. Finally, FlexFoam material is injected under the rimless edge to improve edge durability while spreading out the sweetspot and resisting paddle twisting in your hand if you don't hit a ball on center.
